Sennheiser PMX 680 Review, the right choice for serious Runners !

“Worth it!! I’ve been waiting for this item to come out on the market. I’ve gone through about 5-6 pairs of different headsets. Earbuds would ALWAYS fall out after the first 2 steps of running. I think I may have a small ear canal? I then tried ones that wrap around your ear. “The first thing I want to comment on is the build quality. I have to assume people getting these headphones are probably running or working out with them. I have never had a pair of headphones that fit comfortably while running. Sennheiser HD 449 Review, suberb soundstage for non audiophile users!
The Sennheiser HD 449 headphone is one of the best headphones used indoors or outdoors. Many owners advised that its sound quality is higher than the Beats and lower than the Beats Pro, i noticed that a couple of owners praised it specially when used with the Fiio E6 Headphone Amplifier. I did not have the chance to test them when i was in a big mall in France last December; they where just released almost a month before. Sennheiser is one of the top German companies that manufacturers headphones, microphones.
The Sennheiser HD449 is an around the ear closed headphone, it is ideal for use at home or on the go where you want to block the ambient noise, and keep what you are listening too private.
It includes a 1/4 inch adaptor if you want to convert the initial adaptor which is 1/8 inch
It comes with two cables, one is attached and about 4 feet long, second cable is a cable extension that will extend your total cable length to about 10 feet approx, in this case it will be perfect in connection to your home audio receiver
The HD 449 has closed cups to around the ear and a leatherette, and that is how it blocks the ambient noise.
It comes with a very tough storage pouch to keep your headphones inside it to keep them protected. The pouch is large enough to hold all the extra cables that comes with these HD449 headphones, you can put inside it a portable audio device or a headphones amp if you like.

“My main purchase for these was for speech audio, i.e. lectures, youtube, trainings, etc. I also listen to a great deal of audio so I was hoping for a set of headphones which had overall decent sound. I already have a set of HD595′s but wanted a set of closed headphones too so I wasn’t leaking sound to people near me. The overall build is decent for the money. Could use a little thicker wirer and the pads get a bit warm, but they do a good job of keeping the sound in and blocking outside noise. I broke these in for 4 hours or so before listening”

Sennheiser CX500 headphones is one of the best headphones in it’s category and the model is cx500-B. It comes with a wide variety of earplugs as shown in the image below. This will increase it’s comfort to meet all ear sizes. Many people return back earphones as they do not fit into their ears. It’s customized ear adapters offer a better passive noise attenuation. Great Headphones but BEWARE OF FAKES
“These headphones are superb; however, BEWARE of all the fakes out there! There are tons and it is very difficult to tell the difference when looking at the physical package. I saw a couple of posts on here that complain about the loud thump when you hit the cord…if this happens, you have fakes. I bought a pair off of eBay (do not buy these off eBay, most if not all are fake) and had some other people that bought from the same seller contact me and inform me that they were fakes. Even worse, when confronted, the seller admitted they were counterfeit and was eventually caught and banned from eBay. With the fakes, every time I exercised and the cord would bump me it was extremely loud and after this happened a couple of times during my first use, I stopped using them while working out (still not knowing they were fakes at this point). When I discovered they were counterfeit, I contacted Sennheiser to find out if Amazon.com was an authorized seller (I was sure Amazon would only deal with legitimate products, but after getting burned on eBay I wanted to make sure I was getting was I was paying for).”

My first set of inner ear headphones were the Ultimate Ears super.fi 3′s. I bought these back in January. Ultimately, I learned what I really wanted in an inner ear monitor and the failures of the UE’s led me to purchase the Senn cx500′s.
Comfort: No comparison here, whatsoever. The UE’s were big, clunky, and just never fit right regardless of the attachment I used. They lost their seal constantly even when just sitting on the subway (Inner Ear Monitors MUST keep it’s seal or they sound worse than your Apple issued ear buds) The Senn’s are SMALL, light weight and just stay in nice and snug regardless of what I’m doing. You forget you are even wearing them. They hold seal but in a much more comfortable way than the UEs. The UEs felt like they were violating my ear drum and it was painful some times! Seal is extremely important to me because I ride the NYC subway every day to work and it is the true test of noise canceling phones. Not sure there is a noisier ride anywhere else on the planet. You can hear your music at a low volume. AMAZING!”

Audio Technica ATH-AD900 is one of the best headphones in it’s category specially for transparent headphones that do not color sound. It has a neutral response that will give you the feel that you are in the studio with the singer listening to every instrument separately with great sound details all over the frequency spectrum. Great all purpose headphone
“I have had the luxury of listening to lots of top level headphones. I have the Audio-Technica ATH-A700 and ATH-AD700, ATH-A900, ATH-AD900, ATH-AD 1000, ATH-AD2000, and ATH-5000; AKG 271, 240, K601, and K701; the Beyerdynamic 770, 880 and 990; Sennheiser 280, 600 and 650; Grado GS-80, GS325i, RS-2, GS-1000; Sony 7505, 7509 and 5000, Denon 2000 and 5000. With the exception of the AKG 240 and 271, all of those headphones are excellent. It becomes a matter of taste and whether you can use them with an Ipod without a separate amplifier.”
